Yesterday my youngest arrived home breathless and red-cheeked. "I get to be the head of the dragon in the parade!" he yelled as he ran upstairs. It doesn't take much to please a first grader. Chinese New Year is always celebrated with a parade through the school, complete with a dragon, noisemakers, masks, and kites. Parents and kids lined the hallways armed with cameras and smiles. Luckily, I got there on time (for once) and found some good spots to shoot pictures of my own kid and some friends. Happy New Year!
